Barns in Autumn

A trip down to Fir Island and some barns amongst the colorful Autumn leaves.
Every time we round the corner I expect this poor barn to be flat.  It is not really old, but seems to have a structural flaw.  It is not near any farms or houses, there are gigantic hay bales in the background this year.  There must be hay fields nearby.
The big maple tree still has some color - the leaves are beginning to fall.

Mt. Baker behind a farm that is nestled among the trees.

And another farm with Mt. Baker in the background.
 Sinking slowly into the land.
Fabulous Autumn day.

...those red barns with Mt Baker in the background sure do pop! The that is sinking slowly into the land may not be with us for long. Thanks JoAnn for sharing this week, please stop back again.

Particularly love the second barn and the last one! It seemed to be a day for showing beautiful snow-covered mtns in the background of the barn pictures too. :-)

It's a wonder that first barn is still standing.

Mt. Baker has collected a lot of snow since your last picture in that area.
